There is no air service from Phoenix to the South Rim. Air service from South Rim to Page would be on a charter flight basis, see charter companies listed below.
    There is no scheduled air service from Las Vegas to Page. Air service from Page to Las Vegas would be on a charter basis, see charter flight companies below.

Charter Flights
      Charter air service is available for a variety of destinations in the Grand Canyon area. Flights range from 45 to 60 minutes and average $200 to $300 per person, plus tax.
      Charter flight service requires a minimum of three to four fares per flight. The companies will coordinate your flight with other passengers on the river trip whenever possible to achieve the minimum three fares. Full fare is required three to four weeks in advance of your flight date; a service charge may be charged for cancellations depending on date of notice.
      Most charter flight services will fly into the North Las Vegas airport and shuttle bus you to the main Las Vegas airport or any major hotel downtown.

Shuttle Service to Limestone Airstrip

      There are no rental cars available at the south rim, Grand Canyon or Peach Springs, Arizona. You must obtain pre-approval for drop-offs and you may have to pay a drop-off fee.

Drivers to Deliver Your Vehicle

Page, Arizona
      Passengers on full-length and upper-portion trips will probably need to arrange lodging in Page, AZ, for the night before trip departure. Diamond River Adventures arranges lodging in Page for passengers on Special Package trips.
      Page is a small but modern community that overlooks Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. The town has a full range of services and accommodations: motels, restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacies, banks, post office, service stations, laundry and dry cleaners, beauty and barber shops, sporting goods stores, a theater, curio shops, churches, schools, and nearby picnic and campgrounds. Motel rates in Page range from approximately $60 to $100 per night for two people.

Tusayan, Arizona (near South Rim)
     This small town is located near the entrance to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park and offers all visitor facilities, including campgrounds, grocery stores, service stations, restaurants, hotels and motels. Hotels located in Tusayan include the following:

     Grand Canyon Airport is located near the town of Tusayan about ten miles from the South Rim of Grand Canyon. Several commercial flights arrive daily from Las Vegas. Rental cars and taxi services are available at the airport. Motels located near the airport include the following:

Grand Canyon, Arizona (South Rim)

Phantom Ranch
     Phantom Ranch is a small, rustic lodge located deep in the inner gorge of Grand Canyon. It is the take-out point for upper-portion trips. Approximate rates (not including tax) for services are listed below; vegetarian cuisine is available. Prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Overnight dormitory-style accommodations: $30 per person

Mule Ride and Duffel Portage
Upper- Grand Canyon and Lower-Grand Canyon Trips

  • Mule ride in or out of Canyon: $900 for one to five persons (booked only in groups of five)

Peach Springs Hualapai Lodge
Full-Length and Lower- Grand Canyon Trips

The Lodge provides a shuttle to the Limestone Airport, which is located approximately 12 miles from the Lodge, for a nominal fee. The shuttle must be arranged in advance. Diamond River Adventures also will shuttle passengers to the Limestone Airport on the last day of the river trip at no charge.
